San Lorenzo de El Escorial is very attractive city from the tourist point of view due to it's valuable Architectonic Heritage.

The Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial is the most significant building of the city, it was declared Monument of Worldwide Interest by the UNESCO in 1984.

Another emblematic monument is the "Valle de los Caidos" (Valley of the Fallen), where Francisco Franco is buried. The views from this valley, are splendid.

El Escorial also stands out because of its natural enviroment. The surroundings of the city are a perfect place for walks, hunting, horse riding.. Two places that souldn' t be missed are La Herrería (The Forge Woods) and the Abantos Pine Forest.
